About Whistler
The largest riding area on the continent, with 7,071 acres of rideable terrain, more than 200 marked trails, and 12 massive bowls including three glaciers. The two greatest vertical rise ski mountains in North America, with Blackcomb rising one vertical mile (5,020 feet) to an elevation of 7,160 feet. Four separate mountain bases, all within five minutes of each other and all equipped with high-speed lifts, virtually eliminating lift line-ups.
The most advanced high-speed lift system in the world. Average snowfall of 30 feet (nine metres) complemented by extensive snowmaking systems. A winter season that runs from November through June.
No more introduction really needed except to say that this is the place to be, freeriders are laughing at the sheer amount of bowls and powder on offer to ride here and the freestylers have impeccable pipes and parks – groomed daily.
Nightlife: Whistler has well over 100 bars and restaurants, it is a rocking town and its the place to be !
